Quaker Bird Pinwheel

Long time since my last post...I know...but I've been taking life a little slower these past few months and just enjoying life.
I'm happy to show you my first real release of the year.  And I'm really happy with how the model turned out.  I was inspired by the antique pinwheels the Quakers use to make and thought I'd try my hand and making one.

Stitched on 32ct Peep's Lost Sheep linen from my friend Ebeth of Dames of the Needle.
I used a combination of Classic Colorworks and DMC floss.  Detailed finishing instructions are provided.  The finished pinwheel is about 4" in diameter.

This new pattern is now available in my Etsy shop and will also soon be available at your local needlework shop.

Thanks for stopping by and as always, happy stitching my friends!

Working on Valentine Offerings

Got my wooly punched heart stuffed and mounted on an old oil can spout. This was fun and actually very easy...now I'm in the mood for more punching.

I am excited about this month's PHM listings next Thurs night. Hearts all around.

Ohio Treasure

"Ohio Treasure" cross stitch design is an antique adaptation of an original sample from Ohio, date 1800-1850 and is held by the Wisconsin Historical Society. This will be the last year this design is available. This was originally released in 2013 and was given a 5 year window for sale by the WHS and I have a limited number of charts left.

Please email me at threadworkprimitives@verizon.net if interested in purchasing.
Thank you.

Many ideas spinning in my head....how I love designs featuring hearts.

One little wool heart fob that will be attached to the stuffed drum below and a soon to be cross stitch pinwheel.  Really loving the colors in this and eager to get to the finishing.

Hope to share more as I get them done and sure hope you'll visit our
wonderful group PHM for the update next week.
